About the artist:
Rajeev Prasanna belongs to an illustrious lineage of music as the grandson of the flute maestro Lt. Pandit Raghunath Prasanna. He started learning music at the age of 9 from his grandfather and father, Pt.Ravi Shankar Prasanna. Rajeev Prasanna has collaborated with some of the most celebrated names in Indian music — including Shreya Ghoshal, Sukhwinder Singh, Gulzar Saab, Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Papon, Sona Mohapatra, and Harshdeep Kaur.
He has mesmerized audiences across the globe with his performances at prestigious venues like the Dolby Theater, SSE Arena Wembley, Microsoft theatre in Los Angeles and many more. His artistry has also shone on iconic television platforms such as MTV Unplugged, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Coke Studio, GIMA Awards, IIFA Awards, Mirchi Music Awards, and Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma.
Rajeev’s flute has breathed magic into the melodies of legendary shows like Naagin and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and has added soul to blockbuster films such as Jugjugg Jeeyo, Kesari, and Laal Singh Chaddha. Even the iconic 20th Century Fox studio tune carries the enchanting touch of his flute — a testament to his versatility and global appeal
